Shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts in StreamPipes are intentionally small in number, but they are useful in the places where users work repeatedly: editing pipelines, charts, and dashboards, filtering table content, and closing dialogs without leaving the keyboard.
This page collects the shortcuts that are currently available in the UI.
General shortcuts
| Context | Shortcut | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Chart, dashboard, or pipeline edit view | Ctrl/Cmd + S | Saves the current state |
| Dashboard or pipeline panel | E | Enters edit mode |
These are the shortcuts most users notice first because they fit the main edit workflows of the platform.
Pipeline editor
| Context | Shortcut | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Pipeline assembly | Delete or Backspace | Deletes the currently hovered pipeline element |
This is useful when refining a pipeline quickly without moving back to the element action controls.
Table widget
| Context | Shortcut | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Table widget filter dropdown | Ctrl/Cmd + F | Focuses the filter search input |
This is most helpful in chart views that use the Table visualization and have many fields or filter options.
Dialog behavior
| Context | Shortcut | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Shared overlay dialogs | Escape | Closes the dialog |
| Shared overlay dialogs | Enter | Confirms the dialog |
These shortcuts are simple, but they make repeated configuration work much faster once they become muscle memory.
